 | Silva NX2 Steer Pilot
This is the most interesting and effective Silva analogue instrument. They have are intergrating the electronic compass, water-speed sensor with navigation data from the GPS to one single information, the needle! The instrument guides you to steer to an exact course, down to the last degree, with updated steer information delivered 5 times per secound from the server. The instrument needle will reveal the smallest deviation from your intended course pr preffered wind angle.
So, how do I use it?
When used with a steering wheel, imagine that the instrument needle is connected with an invisible wire to the centr of you steeringwheel. When the deviation appears, hust turn the wheel as if it was connected to the needle, back to a straight up position, it's simple!
When using a tiller, imagaine that the end of the tiller is "fixed" at the top of the needle and that you could pull the needle back to its straight up position just by "dragging" it there, it just works! After some minutes trainig you will be able to steer your boat in a straight line without even thinking!
You can select your steering reference from several options:
- Compass steering (up to 2 course memories
- Apparent wind angle to follow wind shifts
- Waypoint steering (BTW) without compensation for drift
- Course to steer (CTS) Same as BTW but including compensation for drift

The NX2 analogue speed trim instrument, displays the difference in speed since last trimming. It can be operated froma Remote Control instrument, Wind data or the Multi Center.
